The Gestalt is a reflection of modern day Earth, built on the collective human unconscious. The stories and ideas of humanity live and breathe in the Gestalt, even the impossible ones. It is a world of promise and danger in equal parts, home to dreams, ghosts, monsters and you.

You are a Wanderer, a lost soul from our world who travels the Realms of the Gestalt. You are gifted with incredible psychic powers, but you they came at a heavy cost.

You are trapped. A part of your soul has been Locked away, and without it you can neither return to your past life or cross the Other Horizon to rest in peace.

You are vulnerable. Menacing creatures hunger for your Vitality and ambitious factions aim to ensnare you in their plans to dominate the Gestalt.

But you are not alone. Together with your crew of fellow misfits you can overcome the odds, reclaim what you lost and achieve your dreams. Along the way, you might just change the Gestalt forever…

The Other Horizon is a role-playing game about exploring imaginary worlds and becoming a new person alongside your community. During your journey you will:

• Explore a variety of fantastical Realms.
• Contend with complications from your Lock.
• Navigate dangers and combat the Noise.
• Build a community amongst other Wanderers and strange Denizens, like Figments, Fictions and Shades.
• Investigate the schemes of Factions and Envoys.
• Pursue your goals and balance them against the needs of your crew.

• Details on the world of the Gestalt, and the settlement of Good News.
• All the rules  necessary for your crew to engage in daring missions and character-building downtime.
• Advice for the Guide on running the game and directing the story.
• Procedures for creating custom psychic powers, artefacts and companions.

The Other Horizon is a table-top roleplaying game that is "Forged in the Dark", meaning it is a hack of John Harper's Blades in the Dark (bladesinthedark.com). Blades in the Dark has an open-source System Reference Document (SRD).
